Tonya Lee Albers (Lori) was born and raised in Victoria B.C. Her love for acting took her to Vancouver where she trained for film and television at the Vancouver Film School. However, upon graduation Tonya had an opportunity to audition for theatre as the female lead, Daisy Buchanan, in the Great Gatsby and before she knew it she was performing on-stage for the first time and loved it. Among small film and television projects, numerous stage performances persisted and eventually brought Tonya to her home town where she has been performing for the last couple years. Her most recent performance was in Macbeth at the Belfry.
Tonya has had the great fortune to pursue her love for film and television acting while in Victoria. From commercial and industrial projects to independent features Tonya has been afforded the opportunity to grow and develop as an actor in a variety of challenges. Being a part of Louie Lawless’ film, The Diary, was a great experience which involved such a hardworking and supportive cast and crew that Tonya will be lucky when she finds another collaboration of people so dedicated and fun to work with. Most recently, Tonya has been cast in the two independent features Nighthawks and Jackhammer and looks forward to future film opportunities.
