“The Diary”

Based on true events, The Diary is a moving drama about an unsuspecting Canadian clergyman, Colin O’Neill, who is given a journal written by a young native girl named Raven.  Her diary documents past crimes in O’Neill’s church’s Indian residential school. As the Reverend learns more about these crimes, and how they continue today, he is forced to choose between his own life and security or helping bring to light the injustices of the Indian residential schools.

Choosing the latter, O’Neill loses his family and livelihood, but gains new allies, and knowledge of a dark, hidden history. With a handful of others, O’Neill is drawn into a classic David and Goliath battle whose outcome is uncertain.
